It is a very exciting time when booking a Scottish cottage holiday and yet it can be very confusing not to mention time consuming trawling through the web to find the ideal place to stay.  Here we offer some advice about selecting the perfect holiday cottage in Scotland to ensure your break is perfect in every way.

Firstly it is important to decide on an area you want to visit on your Scottish holiday – highly recommended are Perthshire, Fife, the Scottish Borders and of course Edinburgh.  These areas of Scotland have something for every type of traveller, whether it is a city break, an activity break or a tranquil relaxing break that is required.  It is very important to decide on the area you want to visit to limit your search criteria and then decide on the type of accommodation that will be most suitable.  A holiday cottage is perfect as a base from which to explore areas but the standards and facilities can vary greatly.  It is always best to select a holiday cottage from a company that only provides accommodation of the highest standards.  Make sure your chosen holiday cottage company show a good selection of photographs on their web site so to confirm the high standards promised in the text.
